Leaning, But Not Falling
I chose to use a calming but still colorful palette to depict this botanical mono print painting of my bleeding heart bush. With this piece I am using the pattern of the design in play with the pattern from the leaves and flowers to represent an organized chaos. I find in life I am constantly trying to make sense of the hustle that is life and am always looking for the pattern and the structure that weaves life together. Flowers and plants have always taught me to see where these intersect. That paradox is ok, you can have surprise and spontaneity as well as form and structure living side by side. And that sometimes you need to lean into the uncomfortable to find comfort.
